I'm alive everyone, no worries :) I had a bit of an issue with my computer cord and UK plugs so my computer died. Buuuuut I got it all figured out this morning and I'm back in action! We finished Day 4 of the opening today and got through our shipment of 13,000 mens units of merchandise. We get womens tomorrow and have to get through all of that this week! It is going very well, I'm kind of scared at how well it is going.. I'm just waiting for something crazy to happen, haha!
So the UK is very fun! I am learning all kinds of fun words and may come back to the US with a British accent! It just sounds so much more sophisticated, and I am one sophisticated lady :) Haha! The associates and managers here are awesome, they help the days go by quickly and are very entertaining! We have been working around 13 hours a day, everyday, so it's been pretty tiring, but it's 1am here right now and I am wired. We may have stopped at McDonald's on the way home from work tonight...
We have our only site seeing plans set for Wednesday morning. We are getting up super early to go check out the Castle that is across the street. I don't know the significance of the castle, but I will be sure to report back with pictures and stories!
Hope you are all having a great week and enjoying the pretty weather there.. the weather here is just awful, cold and rainy every day! I expect sunny skies when I get home :)
Love yall!

Finally here!
Yesterday was the longest day of my life! So my original flight was suppose to leave at 3:40pm, so around 12:50 after I brought all of my luggage downstairs ready to go I get a call from Delta "Your flight has been cancelled." Awesome. So after a minor freak out I got ahold of A&F travel and I got re-booked a few different times to get me here before I had to be at work. I got a flight out at 7:30pm and right when I got to the airport- "Your flight has been delayed." Of course it has. So I sat down and had some dinner and proceeded to my gate to witness a women choking on a piece of ice, people yelling for an ambulance, and a woman giving the elder lady the heimlich. Yikes! She was ok, but it was a very dramatic 2 minutes haha!
When I finally reached Amsterdam of course I had trouble checking in and had to wait in 2 long lines to get a boarding pass and once again almost missed my flight. But I did make it to Cardiff and our welcoming gift- LoTs of rain!! I heard the weather here was gross and they weren't kidding! Cardiff is a very cool town though, we are staying right next to the Cardiff Castle and have plans to go explore there one morning before work!
We worked for a couple hours yesterday- the store is amazing already! I can't wait to get merchandise in and set the whole thing up! It is an upgraded Hollister, so it looks a lot different than most of the stores in the US. It has really pretty printed wallpaper throughout the store and 3 huge chandeliers on the porch and in the lounge. I'll take pictures :)
We ate at a famous italian resaurant in Cardiff last night called Jamies. I ordered a breaded fish meal and didn't eat one bite of it! Everything on the plate had eyes! It was so sick! So I ate lots of potatoes and of course ordered desert to make up for my nasty meal! Everyone else enjoyed their meals and I had some of the famous Welsh lamb (very delish!).
My hotel room is very nice! I slept like a baby last night and can't wait to test out the shower! We have a long day today, working 11:30am to around midnight. Hope everyone has a great day! Love yall!

aaaand we're off!
I'm headed to Wales today! Yay! I fly from Charlotte to NYC to Amsterdam to Cardiff! It's going to be a loooong travel day! But I will get to the UK around 11am- just in time to have lunch and head to work!! We will do a walk through with construction the day we get there and then start our looong 11:30am-11:30pm days starting this Friday. We will work those long days until the store opens on April 8th! Yes, that means I'll be in the UK for Easter :( But no worries, I packed my favorite Easter candy for myself and my team members!
We are staying at the Hilton in Cardiff which just happens to be right next to the Cardiff Castle- Saaaweet! I'll be sure to take lots of pictures my first day there since I won't see much when work starts! Ok, time to double check my suitcases to make sure I have all the essentials! Fingers crossed & prayers said for safe travel! Love yall :)

Here we go again!
I'm off again! This time I will be the Team Leader for an opening in Cardiff, UK. Cardiff is the capital of Wales and we will be opening a Hollister store there! I am going with 2 other people, Leah (a store manager from Home Office) and the overnight manager from our London flagship. I have met Leah before and she is great so I am excited! This will not only be my first time opening a Hollister Co, but also my first time running the show! Keep your fingers crossed for me!
